Improving communication with Society
Communication is exchanging information either spoken or written.
We consider solutions that improve both one-way and two-way communication among emergency organizations and members of the society in one or more of the following aspects:
- Crisis communication: providing up-to-date information to community members about the ongoing disaster impacts and relief efforts
- Risk communication: providing accurate information about threats
Effective communication: creating common meanings and understandings and provision of opportunities for members to articulate their needs and views
